KW Commercial Real Estate
October 2020
Every year on the second Thursday of May Keller Williams shuts down worldwide to do an annual day of service where we give back to the communities that we live in and work in! This year for our “Red Day” we partnered with “For the Kids Foundation.” They are a nonprofit that collects food for children in Utah with food insecurities. The kids that we feed are a part of the free lunch/breakfast programs in their elementary schools. We send home food for them on the weekends. They truly would go without food if it wasn’t for this program!

Revere Health
July 2020
Picture
Revere Health was started by three internists—Doctors Nimer, Parker and Gardner—in the early 1960s with the mission of meeting the growing healthcare needs of Utah County residents. From the beginning, the group focused on treating its patients with dignity and respect and enhancing the quality of their lives.

The fledgling group—first known as Central Utah Medical Clinic—practiced out of a home in Provo for several years until its growing patient base and the addition of new physicians forced it to move into a larger building in 1962. In 1969, the organization incorporated and moved to its current location at its main campus located at 1055 North 500 West in Provo. By the late 1970s and early 80s, Central Utah Medical Clinic had grown to include 15 physicians practicing in five specialties: internal medicine, gastroenterology, cardiology, medical oncology and dermatology.

Revere Health has grown immensely from its humble beginnings. The one-time clinic that operated out of a home is now Utah’s largest independent physician group. Its vision today is the same as at its founding: as a group of independent physicians, Revere Health values first and foremost the quality of care patients receive and their right to participate with their physician in treatment decisions. Revere Health physicians treat their patients with compassion, dignity and respect, regardless of ability to pay.

Exceptional leadership, combined with agile and skilled caregivers, has proven to be a strength during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The team at American Fork Hospital has quickly responded by preparing and continuing to be ready for all possible needs. One example of how the nimble team spirit has impacted our area, is their quick action to stand-up a drive through testing site. From the moment the need was clear, caregivers rallied to put all the processes in place and within a day, were ready to serve.  To date, the hospital has performed more than 5,000 tests and continues at a steady pace, 7 days a week. This is just one of the many ways American Fork Hospital is working to always be here for our community.

Transworld Business Advisors - Utah County
April 2020
When a company owner needs to sell their business, they can’t just stick a “For Sale” sign in the window. They need the assistance of a business broker to locate and vet potential buyers. On the other side, buyers rely on the broker to help facilitate the process of evaluating potential businesses and franchises for sale. A broker with Transworld Business Advisors of Utah County is the solution for both scenarios.

Chick-fil-A
September 2019

Picture
In our kitchens, we focus on fresh and simple ingredients. And we always have. Since the beginning, we've served chicken that is whole breast meat, with no added fillers or hormones, and we bread it by hand in our restaurants. Produce is delivered fresh to our kitchens several times a week. Salads are chopped and prepared fresh throughout the day. Our lemon juice is hand mixed daily with pure cane sugar and water (yep, that’s all) to make Chick-fil-A Lemonade®. It may not be the easy way, but it's the only way we know.

A few simple plans with a bowling area, miniature glow golf arena and spacious arcade along with a bar-style grill were all scratched out on the back of a napkin, and shortly thereafter In August 2001 the first FatCats opened just south of 3300 in Salt Lake City.

And even though they are state employees, the Custom Fit team are friendly, customer oriented, and keep the paperwork to a minimum.

October 2018

Picture
Lehi Free Press is a Lehi-focused news source which is online at www.lehifreepress.com and is a printed weekly newspaper delivered via the U.S. Postal Service every Thursday. The Lehi Free Press has a rich history in Lehi and was originally started in the 1800s. Sisters Donna Fowler Barnes and Sally Fowler Francom restarted the weekly newspaper and website in April of 2015 to share Lehi news and information with the city. Part of the sisters' motivation was to carry on a family tradition and honor their late mother, Betty Fowler, who was the editor of the Lehi Free Press from 1970 to 1994 (nearly 25 years.)

The newspaper employs 8 part time reporters and several photographers who are also passionate about sharing local stories. Subscriptions are $40 per year for Lehi residents and the Lehi Free Press also provides a great marketing tool for local businesses to share their stories with Lehi shoppers.

Lehi Block
September 2018

Picture
Lehi Block-After moving frequently with his job during the early years of their marriage, Art and Alta Powell choose to sink family roots in Lehi, Utah, and open their own business, filling an industry need for which Art was well qualified. His years of experience working as a concrete construction superintendent for Utah Construction Company invaluable in this endeavor.

On Thanksgiving Day, 1945, after the traditional family gathering, 35-year old Art Powell walked from their Lehi family home located on 45 acres to lay out his new concrete block plant on the northeast corner of the property. The next day with a $500 loan from his father-in-law, he started building Lehi Block Company. Alta Powell assisted customers and did office work at home and cared for their growing family while Art and five employees made concrete block. The backbreaking work continued six days a week from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m., but never on Sunday.

Art's philosophy was to pay all business expenses up front. With the expensive machines and equipment used in his plants, this was not easily accomplished. A creative and inventive man, Art designed and built three manufacturing plants as well as some of his equipment and specialty processes. At age 83 he designed ArtStone, an interlocking, retaining wall for which Lehi Block received patent rights.

At young ages the Powell children helped with various tasks at the plant and later assumed daily operations of Lehi Block. In 1961 when the office building was completed, Alta Powell turned over her duties to her daughter, Alda Mae. Art retired from his responsibilities at age 75.

Today Art serves as a chairman of the board, and all four Powell children are still actively involved in the company. Mac Powell is President, Terry Powell is Vice President, and Alda Mae Porter is secretary-treasurer. Their third son Lorin, who is Lehi City's Engineer, also serves as a board member. Some of their posterity of 16 grandchildren have worked part and full time at Lehi Block.

Central Bank Traverse Mountain
July 2018

Picture
Trusted bankers. Loyal friends.

Central Bank has been serving Utah County for over 120 years and we are proud of our history of sustained growth and security. Since the economy began to falter in 2008, we have relied on our own reserves by not taking any "bailout" or TARP money— evidence that we truly have remained strong, safe and secure since 1891. We believe our continuing progress is a direct result of our dedication to caring for the individual needs of the people and communities we serve.
At our prime for over a century
On October 17, 1891, Milan Packard (great-great-grandfather of our president, Matt Packard) helped establish the Springville Banking Company. The bank expanded gradually until 1924, when the community-focused officers and directors were instrumental in attracting the Columbia Steel Mill to the site between Provo and Springville. From this point, the bank enjoyed steady and substantial growth and was one of few banks that did not require Government Debenture Capital during the Great Depression. Progressive and ably-managed, Springville Banking Company was the first bank in Utah to qualify for FDIC insurance on deposits.
The State Bank of Provo was organized in 1902 by 16 men of incredibly diverse backgrounds— sheep farmer, plumber, attorney, you name it— who all wanted to find a safe, stable place to save and borrow money. From its founding, the State Bank of Provo grew steadily and the officers and board members prided themselves as they came to be known as the bank that knew every customer as a friend.
On July 1, 1966, the Springville Banking Company and the State Bank of Provo merged under the new name of Central Bank and Trust. This was not simply a union of the two oldest banks in Utah County, but a consolidation of strength that would provide greater lending power, more financial stability and superior services. Central Bank opened its doors in Spanish Fork in 1969, followed shortly by offices in the Provo Riverside PIaza in 1971 and Mapleton in 1972. Continued expansion brought offices to Payson in 1980, Orem in1982, American Fork in 1996, Lehi in 2003, and Pleasant Grove in 2008. These new facilities demonstrate Central Bank's commitment to serving Utah County and the people who call it "home."
Invested in your success
Central Bank is committed to offering all modern banking services and conveniences— mobile banking, online bill pay, advanced technology ATMs, and online financial management through Money Management— without letting go of the personal, friendly touch that got us where we are today. Aside from providing exceptional banking services, Central Bank makes valuable contributions that strengthen our communities. Our employees spend many hours each year participating in local programs, and the bank donates to many educational and civic organizations throughout Utah County.

United Way of Utah County
August 2017

Picture
United Way of Utah County has been mobilizing the community for over 50 years. We always focus on creating solutions that respond to the community's most urgent needs. For example, In the 1980s, we rallied the community to support families, creating Utah County’s only domestic violence shelter and helping to expand a center to stop child abuse. In the 1990s, we collaborated to create sliding scale health centers and volunteer-run networks. In 2011, we focused on childhood literacy and saw literacy improve from 71% to 83%. Today we still maintain many of these essential initiatives and programs, while also turning our attention to the problem of growing anxiety and depression in our community. We fully expect that our method of creating integrated solutions and gathering leaders from all sectors will be as successful in 2017 as it was in 1980, 1990, and 2011.

Hundreds of Boy Scouts attend the Johnston's Army Adventure Camps which allows Scouts to travel back in time to 1861 and become soldiers at Camp Floyd. The over-night experience also meets the requirments for the American Heritage Merit Badge. Children ages 8 to 11, attend the parks five History Camps for Kids each Summer. These three-day camps enable children to experience the history of Camp Floyd through 19th century games, drills, marches, setting up camp and conducting a full-scale military exercise! Camp Floyd State Park is growing!
